Federal Contractors and Subcontractors are required to use U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify System

Due to recent court rulings, a 2008 executive order requiring all federal contractors and subcontractors to begin using the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify system went into effect September 8, 2009. E-Verify is an internet-based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security that allows employers to electronically verify employees’ employment authorization.
