We get to know our clients so we can be a business partner and develop solutions to challenging situations that are consistent with our client’s mission and purpose. Through our counseling practice we act as a business partner to support human resource functions including: drafting and reviewing policies and handbooks, training employees and supervisors, advising on challenging disciplinary situations, guiding or conducting investigations in the workplace and drafting and negotiating separation agreements. Our attorneys offer expertise in all areas of employment law including, but not limited to, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, anti-discrimination laws (Title VII, ADA, ADEA, Iowa Civil Rights Act, etc.), and affirmative action programs.
