Amelia S. Mapes

Amelia (Ame) Mapes is a committed problem solver who combines her background in economics and finance with common sense solutions to vexing problems.  Her goal is to work closely with clients to move beyond the dollars and cents of tax filings or business decisions and get to the heart of matters, including legacy building.

Ame devotes time and expertise to both the Corporate and M&A practice group and to the Tax, Trusts & Estates practice group.  Ame prepares wills and trusts and assists clients with estate planning strategies.  Ame also assists nonprofits and foundations with formation, governance, and compliance matters.  Ame provides income and business tax guidance to individuals and their organizations.

Ame joined the corporate and tax groups at Belin McCormick in 2017 after earning her law degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa Law School.  At Drake University, she graduated cum laude, incorporating a triple major into two undergraduate degrees.  A native Iowan, Ame grew up in Cedar Rapids.
